I made it tonight for my dinner. I used a small cut of salmon and brown shimeji mushrooms. I halved your recipe and it turned out delish! Very quick and easy. I will be making it again with a small cut of salmon but using the entire pkg of mushrooms. Thank you for this recipe – it’s a keeper!

I am very glad I found this site! I usually only cook Mexican food, because it’s what I know, but I’ve been wanting to become a better cook and branch out.
This is the first Japanese recipe I had the courage to try, and I am very happy to say that it wasn’t just easy to follow, but the result was delicious!
I served it with a side of white rice and classic sunomono.

Summer Time! So…
This salmon is good cold too! As a leftover… we made extra. Freaking good in a salad! We made extra sauce mixture, cooked off the alcohol in the microwave for a minute, added a dash of sesame oil, let it cool, and used that as dressing. Arugula, cucumber, flaked leftover salmon, and mango. OMG delicious. I would add sesame seeds next time, and try oranges/mandarins. Make extra!!!
