Hello, Shaelyn! Yes. You may use red chili pepper flakes, but adjust the spiciness to your liking.😉

It worked perfectly and there are no dried chile bits and seeds floating in the pickles. I’m waiting for a bit longer for cooler weather to plant my daikon seeds in containers. Domo arigato for another delicious recipe.5 stars

Hi Chris, Thank you very much for trying Nami’s recipe!
Are you talking about yellow Pickled Daikon? If so, it’s Dakikon but a different type/technic of pickled or added natural food color.
We hope this helps!

I made this last night and am eating it with my lunch today. This recipe blew my expectations out of the water with how good it is (so much so that this is the only time I’ve ever felt the need to comment on a recipe online). This is the first thing I’ve made from this website but scrolling through the others I will definitely be trying out more. I’m so happy I stumbled upon JOC. Thank you for the amazing recipe!
